As you approached the building, you surely noticed M/V FLOUNDER…55’ length, 6’ draft, and 20’ beam, 30 tons net weight; built by D. C. Beaux Shipbuilders, Meraux, Louisiana and commissioned in Bayou La Batre, Alabama in 1946.

THE Grand Marlin

The story begins with a group of friends on a boat in 2008, cruising the North Drop fishing grounds in the Virgin Islands, waiting for fish to bite and hoping to land an Atlantic Blue Marlin. Through their shared passion for boats, big-game fishing, seafood, stories and the stress-free lifestyle of the Caribbean, the idea of The Grand Marlin was born.

National Naval Aviation Museum

The monument that greets every visitor to the National Naval Aviation Museum is called “The Spirit of Naval Aviation.” We look forward to sharing that spirit with everyone as soon as possible, but at this time civilian visitors can only enter NAS Pensacola and visit the museum if escorted by a holder of a Department of Defense identification card. The Pensacola Beach Boardwalk is where local islanders and visitors alike head to when they are ready to shop, dine, experience live entertainment, swim, sunbathe or simply stroll down the boardwalk.
